Optician
Duties and responsibilities: Optician’s are responsible for checking for
various eye features, they also check the corneal thickness and pupil distance.
Optician’s are also responsible for suggesting various frame shapes, styles and
colors, lenses and special lens coatings, like anti-glare materials to the
patients.
Salary: $33,770 annually
Education: High school diploma with an on job training or
apprenticeship; or a certificate, associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in
the optician career advancement system.
